Workshop Training Programme

About the programme:
The P1 and P2 training programme is a full year course offered to electrical/electronic and mechanical undergraduate students from Universities of Technology before they obtain their Diploma.

The programme has been structured to not only strict logbook requirements to satisfy the practical requirements set by various training institutions, but to also make the students employable. Students go through a comprehensive range of practical hands-on training exercises with actual deliverables.

Duration:  6 Months
Price: Interns are paid a stipend

What interns
learn in P1:

Interns cover a 3-week orientation in which they spend time assimilating soft skills. Before undergoing specialised training in their field of study for 15 weeks, interns go through awareness training in a different field for 6 weeks.

What interns
learn in P2:

Interns acquire specific project-based skills relevant to both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines to meet the minimum Exit Level Outcomes (ELOs) stipulated by ECSA. The basic engineering project environment exposes them to the following facets:
– Design
– Specifications
– Procurement
– Manufacturing
– Finances
– Quality control
– Aspects of Project Management
– Working within teams
– Interns are also exposed to production, maintenance, and support functions.
